About me

Developer, platform builder, and lover of marketing. Also of coffee and cats.

I'm Jorge Nájera. Software engineer and entrepreneur in Monterrey. I've spent more than ten years between consulting, product, and digital marketing. Today I split my time between Actiun, Apunto, Bolteam, and GAMBI.

The thread is the same: software that collects, invoices, operates, or sells. Not demos that look good on a slide. B2B platforms that have to hold up the day-to-day of a real business, in Mexico and LATAM.

I'm not looking to raise a round. I care that the product pays for itself. I automate what moves money. The rest, if it doesn't hurt, can wait.

My mantra is that a problem is something fun. In the end we can always find a solution.

Projects

  1. 01

    Actiun

CEO. CRM, CFDI 4.0 invoicing, collections, and email automation for Mexican SMEs. The dirty work that actually hits the wallet: charges, payments, and reconciliation.

  2. 02

    Bolteam

Co-Founder. On-demand design membership, human team and AI. More than 25 thousand designs. In 2024 we took Bolteam to Tanque de Tiburones.

  3. 03

    Apunto

Co-Founder. TMS/ERP for freight forwarders in Mexico and LATAM. 100% bootstrap. Profitable since September 2024.

  4. 04

    GAMBI

Head of Technology. Waste management in Monterrey: collection, sale, and rental of containers.

Craft

My craft is not a list of tools. It is making a Rails product sustain a business: the charge, the invoice, the operation, the email that didn't send, and the job that cannot fail on a Friday.

Rails is my go-to stack because it lets me build and operate in the same cycle. Product and ops together. PostgreSQL for what has to stay. Hotwire when the interface has to feel alive without standing up another frontend. Sidekiq for what cannot wait for the request. Docker to have it in production without theater.

I prefer less ceremony and more software that gets used. Adoption and time-to-value first. The infinite feature list can wait.

Agents

I love surfing the technology wave. Not sitting and watching. Getting in.

What moves me to build agents is putting together a dark factory: a system that runs everyday work almost on its own, so time pays off. That is what we are doing now in my companies.

We automate. But without forgetting the importance of the human check: the famous human on the loop. The human has the touch, that sense that AI sometimes struggles to tell apart. Little by little we keep improving and refining the systems.

I use it every day. OpenClaw to orchestrate. Ollama when I want the model at home. Claude and Grokbot to think. Cursor to write the code. ChatGPT to design images.
