I build B2B products that collect, invoice, or run a real business in Mexico. Software people use every day.
I'm Jorge Nájera. Software engineer and entrepreneur in Monterrey. I've spent more than ten years between consulting, product, and digital marketing. Today I split my time between Actiun, Apunto, Bolteam, and GAMBI.
These days I build platforms that help SMEs operate, SMEs that hold up the day-to-day of a real business, in Mexico and LATAM: that help them operate, collect, invoice, and follow up with their teams. Especially at Actiun, where I support SMEs in Mexico so they bring AI into their internal processes, and so their teams stay connected on a single platform.
I like building bootstrap companies that pay for their own growth, and putting together the team with which the business can keep developing.
One of my main mantras is that problems are fun things. In the end, how we see a problem weighs on how we look for a solution, and we can always find a solution to a problem.

Craft
My craft is not a list of tools. It is making a Rails product sustain a business: the charge, the invoice, the operation, the email that didn't send, and the job that cannot fail on a Friday.
Rails is my go-to stack because it lets me build and operate in the same cycle. Product and ops together. PostgreSQL for what has to stay. Hotwire when the interface has to feel alive without standing up another frontend. Sidekiq for what cannot wait for the request. Docker to have it in production without theater.
I prefer less ceremony and more software that gets used. Adoption and time-to-value first. The infinite feature list can wait.

Agents
I love surfing the technology wave. Not sitting and watching. Getting in.
What moves me to build agents is putting together a dark factory: a system that runs everyday work almost on its own, so time pays off. That is what we are doing now in my companies.
We automate. But without forgetting the importance of the human check: the famous human on the loop. The human has the touch, that sense that AI sometimes struggles to tell apart. Little by little we keep improving and refining the systems.
I use it every day. OpenClaw to orchestrate. Ollama when I want the model at home. Claude and Grokbot to think. Cursor to write the code. ChatGPT to design images.
